How to Play Crypto Live Poker Online?

Playing crypto poker is easy! With Evolution's range of games, you can enjoy BTC poker live against human dealers who can guide you every step of the way. So, how do you get started with the best online poker games? Simply log in to your Mint.io account, deposit with bitcoin, and open the live casino lobby. There you can choose from a range of live dealer bitcoin poker games such as Casino Hold’em, Triple Card Poker and Caribbean Stud Poker. By clicking on them, you are taken to a small factsheet with min and max bet as well as hosting dealer name for this game. The action is fast and furious, but don’t worry: our dealers are trained and will give you advice if it’s your move.

In Live Poker games, the dealer uses real-life cards marked with special barcodes. As they emerge from the shoe, the dealer scans them and the values are displayed on screen. You can then bet on your hand and the computer will automatically calculate if you have won or lost. The dealer also uses a casino-grade card shuffler to make the whole process totally fair.

The aim of live poker online is simple: form the best 3-card or 5-card poker hand possible and beat the dealer to win. There’s no bluffing like in the World Series of Poker, either: if you have the best hand, you win your bet. In 5-card casino poker variants such as Casino Hold’em, you must make the best 5-card hand from your own two and five available community cards. In Three Card Poker online, just beat the dealer’s three-card hand. The question is: do you stay in the hand and bet, or do you play it safe and fold?

Standard 5-card Poker Rankings (high to low)

Royal Flush (e.g. 10-J-Q-K-A same suit)
Straight Flush (e.g. 6-7-8-9-10 same suit)
Four of a Kind (e.g. K-K-K-K-6)
Full House (e.g. J-J-J-4-4)
Flush (e.g. 4-5-10-K-A all hearts)
Straight (e.g. 2-3-4-5-6 different suits)
Three of a Kind (e.g. 5-5-5-9-J)
Two Pair (e.g. 2-2-A-A-Q)
One Pair (e.g. A-A-3-6-9)
High card (e.g. A-5-8-9-J)

How to Win at Live Bitcoin Poker

You don’t need to be a budding Vanessa Selbst or Phil Ivey to win at crypto poker. All you need is a basic understanding of hand rankings and knowing when to fold them. Let’s start with Three Card Poker. You have little control over the cards here so just know when to play your hand or let it go and wait for a better spot.

In Three Card Poker, the hand rankings are a little different from Texas Hold’em. The mini-Royal Flush (A-K-Q same suit) is at the top of the rankings, followed by a straight flush, then three of a kind. A straight beats a flush in Three Card Poker. As the dealer must have a Q-x-x to qualify, the basic strategy is to always play any hand from Q-6-4 and up. Got anything else? Fold it and wait for a better hand.

In 5-card live poker such as Casino Hold’em, it’s all about knowing which hands to call and which to fold.

Essentially, you want to call (place another bet) if your hand contains any of the following:

- Any pair
- Open-ended straight draw
- Ace-high
- Flush draw
- Two over-cards to the dealer’s hand

Safe and conservative strategy says you should fold everything else. Certainly, you should fold any low, unpaired cards if you have no hope of forming a bigger hand. While the Call bet in live poker games is only double your Ante, the losses can soon rack up if you keep playing bad hands.

Popular Live Poker Games to play with crypto

As an online casino that specializes in Bitcoin live poker games, we believe that playing with cryptocurrencies should not mean being limited in your options. Hence, we offer the best bitcoin poker games here at Mint.io, available in the casino lobby. With plenty of different poker rooms to enjoy on your PC or mobile phone, you will always find a table that’s right for you. Evolution Gaming provides all of our live casino games, and it’s one of the world’s most trusted live dealer brands. Let’s take a look at some of our top titles.

Casino Hold’em

Live Casino Hold’em is an exciting poker variation played heads-up against the dealer. You are both dealt two cards, with five community cards shared. You start by making an ante bet before three community cards (the flop) are dealt out. You must then make a decision to continue betting by making a ‘Call’ (double the ante) or folding your hand. If you call, the dealer places two more community cards on the table. The cards are then compared and the best 5-card hand wins. Keep in mind that the dealer must have a pair of fours at least in order to qualify. Mint.io also offers 2 Hand Casino Hold’em where you get to play two hands at once. There’s also a Bonus Bet which awards a special crypto payout if you make a pair of aces or better after the flop.

Triple Card Poker

Triple Card Poker, or Three Card Poker, is a simple Evolution Gaming variant developed in partnership with SG Digital. There are no complex boards or community cards to deal with here: just place your bet, receive three cards, and beat the dealer’s hand to win your bet. After the hands have been dealt, the dealer must have a queen-high to qualify. You can also take the Ante Bonus bet and win if you hit a straight or higher. If you love bonuses, the Pair Plus and Six Card Bonus bets also give you a shot at winning additional payouts.

Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker

Texas Hold’em Bonus is one of the more popular games in the Evolution Gaming arsenal - and you can play it here at Mint.io. Although the game is based on Texas Hold’em, there is a subtle difference. In this casino variant, there is no bet after the river card. Look out too for additional bonus side bets.

Extreme Texas Hold’em

Extreme Texas Hold’em offers a blend of Ultimate Texas Hold’em and Casino Hold’em. Both you and the dealer are dealt two cards at the start of the hand. You must decide to call or fold on the flop before seeing the last two cards. And like Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker you can play two side bets during the game: the Bonus Bet or the First Five Progressive Jackpot. The ante will push if the dealer has less than a pair.

Side Bet City

Side Bet City makes full use of Evolution Gaming’s studio settings. In this colorful live poker game, you can win on the best 3-card hand, 5-card hand or 7-card hand during the game. You can also bet on the ‘All Lose’ where no hands will come out with the pot.

Caribbean Stud Poker

Live Caribbean Stud is a fast live dealer game that features a jackpot side bet and plenty of smaller jackpot prizes. You and the dealer are dealt five cards, with the dealer flipping one of their cards up for the table to see. You then decide whether to continue betting or folding your hand and losing your ante. Once the dealer has peaked at their hand to see if it ‘qualifies’ (contains A-K-x-x-x or better), the hands are compared. You win 1-1 if you beat the dealer. In addition, you are paid an extra prize if your hand is strong. Below, we have listed our Caribbean Stud payouts for you:

Royal Flush 100/1
Straight Flush 50/1
Four of a Kind 20/1
Full House 7/1
Flush 5/1
Straight 4/1
Three of a kind 3/1
Two pair 2/1
One pair or less 1/1
